It's been a good long while since I've written. I think I've decided I want to give this another go. Life is busy and it would be nice to have some of it recorded, somewhere, especially since I've been extremely lax in my journaling. We'll see if it takes...
After moving to Wyoming, I was able to meet with a wonderful doctor, who helped us figure out that I had low progesterone. We conceived our 6th child at the end of October 2012. After an uneventful pregnancy, though a little stressful initially due to trying to get my progesterone doses correct, we welcomed a daughter, Colette Marie, on July 14. She was a tiny little thing, 5 lbs 14 oz and 18 in long. Surprisingly small, given her older brother tipped the scales at 9 lbs 11 oz and measured 22 in. Her birth was fast and furious--I would like to make that into another post soon. We are thoroughly enjoying life with three! Bella and Joe adore their little sister and are lots of help!
In other news, we are getting ready to move, yet again. More details forthcoming soon.
We started school at home this fall. We don't get to school every day, or even every week. Bella is 5 now and doing very well with beginning to read and count and do all the things 5 year olds should do. Joe is 3 and sometimes he participates in school, but mostly he just runs around causing mayhem.
I am very much looking forward to Advent, even though it's looking like it's going to be a little chaotic in the beginning with packing and moving. I want to slow down and simply focus on His coming. I need to slow down, to pray more, to just be more in the moment with Him and with these little souls He's given to me. I do love Advent and how it reminds us of what is truly important.
We made these chaplets these week to use for praying the St. Andrew Novena this Advent. I am excited to do this with the kids this year, as they are getting big enough to participate, more or less.
It's getting late--should have been in bed a couple of hours ago. I have cleaning and cooking and packing and more cleaning to do tomorrow in preparation for Thanksgiving and moving. Happy Thanksgiving!
